To everyone's surprise, the Trans MF Pro Race Team took third place in the general classification of the Speedway Best Pairs 2018. A huge credit goes to to Leon Madsen, who was one of the best riders during this year's rivalry of the sponsor teams.
Before the final round, Trans MF, along with the Monster Energy Speedway Team, were placed second in the general classification. The meeting in Landshut ended with an additional heat, that had to be taken to find out, who would take the second position overall. Ekantor.pl Team proved to be better, despite the individual win by Leon Madsen. From the beginning of this year, Dane has been impressing with his form and thanks to his great performances, the Trans MF Pro Race Team achieved a historic success of the reaching the podium of Speedway Best Pairs.
Before the season, it was difficult to find those who had seen them among the candidates to step on the podium.
- Our results proves that you should not listen to experts. The most fascinating factor of sport is its unpredictability. Especially in speedway. You never know what will happen. "Underdog" can make a surprise, and leaders may dissapoint. This is the best in speedway - Leon Madsen said.
Dane, during all three rounds of the Speedway Best Pairs 2018 cycle, scored 45 points, which gives him an average of 2.37 points per heat. It is mainly thanks to excellent Madsen's performance, Trans MF Pro Race Team reached such a high position.
– We knew that at the end of the race we can make it to the podium. This was our main goal, which was achieved - Madsen added.
Tournament in Landshut ended with the victory of Fogo Power, who won all three rounds of SBP this year. As mentioned before, the final order in the general classification was decided in an extra heat, where Ekantor.pl Team proved to be better than the Trans MF Pro Race Team.
- It was a difficult competition. I found very hard to overtake on the track, so the start was crucial. Everyone had to find the right setups and we did it quite quickly. We did not manage to win the last race, but the overall result of our team is really satisfying – Leon Madsen summed up.
